Does Tickshield work against all bugs?
Tickshield is third-party tested for fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, ants, mites, chiggers, roaches, wasps, and scorpions. However, our products have been popular for a larger range of pests for over 20 years.
Is it safe to use on children and pets?
It sure is! Tickshield is non-toxic, family-safe, and pet-friendly when used as directed. Tickshield is only recommended for dogs over 20 lbs. For smaller dogs and cats, go with Cedarcide Original instead.
How often should I apply?
Apply before outdoor activities that could expose you or your pets to biting bugs. Reapply every 5–7 hours or after getting wet. See “Instructions” on the label for more details.
Can it be used outdoors as well as indoors?
While you can apply Tickshield to people and pets outdoors, as well as spray bugs directly on hard surfaces, Tickshield is not plant safe, so exercise caution when using it around grass or other greenery. For lawn protection, go with Outdoor Bug Control instead.
Is it eco-friendly and non-toxic?
Yes! Tickshield is non-toxic, family-safe, and safe for our planet, when used as directed.
What’s the difference between the cedarwood and lemongrass options?
Both are equally effective at controlling unwanted bugs, so it all depends on your scent preference. Cedarwood is classic and earthy (think cedar closet or chest) and lemongrass is brighter and more citrus-like.
Will it leave stains or residue on clothing or other surfaces?
No, Tickshield is designed to dry quickly and not stain. You can use it on clothing, fabrics, furniture, carpeting, and more. For delicate items, test on a small area first.
How long do Cedarcide products last?
As long as you store them in a cool, dry place out of sunlight and freezing temps, they should last approx. 2 years before slowly losing effectiveness. They never go bad or become harmful, they simply lose potency after 2 years.
