Q&A

is there a difference (other than scent variation) between Himalayan Cedarwood, and the Texas Cedarwood? Do they perform a different task or is one better for a specific pest than the other?

It all depends on your scent preference, Bridget :) Texas is our classic cedarwood essential oil, whereas Himalayan has a stronger, more earthy aroma.

Do you have the number of drops to use of the cedar oil for an effective mixture? Thanks!!

Hi there, Donna! It would depend on your purposes. For pest control, many factors come into play—including when and how the oil is added, where and how you plan to use it, and what carrier or emulsifier is used—and for those reasons and ease of use/cost effectiveness, I would stick to using our pre-mixed cedar-based bug sprays like Cedarcide Original, which you can find here: https://cedarcide.com/products/cedarcide-original-biting-insect-spray?variant=42159479914716 We're also available at 800-842-1464 if you need anything else or have more questions :) Have an awesome day!

I was told that cedar oil works for buffing out scratches on an Emerald Ring or other gemstones. I just bought a ring that needs a little TLC. Is this correct? Thank You

Hi there, Ava! I've not heard of that myself, but cedarwood does naturally have a lot of beneficial properties and benefits. However, because we're strictly a pest control company, i wouldn't be able to suggest any of our products for that use with any sort of confidence. I'm here if you need anything else :)

Are the essential oil ok to use on humans? Can I use them in my diy beard oils?

Hi, Jason! You sure can—these are simply high quality essential oils. So using them in a DIY mixture such as beard oil would work great! Friendly reminder: never use essential oils on your skin without diluting them first :)
