FAQ
Does the Fogging Kit work against all bugs?
Our Fogging Kit with Cedarcide Original is powered by cedarwood oil, a naturally occurring pesticide that’s known to control a wide range of unwanted bugs. Original is third-party tested for fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, ants, mites, chiggers, roaches, wasps, and scorpions. However, our products have been popular for a larger range of pests for over 20 years.
Can I only use Cedarcide products in the fogger?
Nope! Our non-thermal fogger is pro-quality and highly versatile, so you’re free to use any product that’s suitable for non-thermal fogging.
Do I need to clean up after fogging?
Because Cedarcide Original dries quickly and doesn’t stain, typically no cleanup is required. In some cases, hard surfaces might still be slick, so exercise caution when returning home after fogging. If you do feel the need to clean after fogging, simple soap and water is sufficient.
Is it non-toxic?
Yes, like all Cedarcide products, our fogging kit was designed with people, pets and our planet in mind. The product you fog, Cedarcide Original, is family-safe and pet-friendly. When fogging with Cedarcide Original, remove people, pets and plants from the space until the fog has settled for at least 3 hours.
Instructions
Prep for fogging by removing your pets and plants from your home. Turn off your AC heat fans, gas powered appliances, pilot lights, and all electronics. The less clutter and mess the better your results.
Unclamp the Tri-Jet Fogger, fill it two-thirds full with Cedarcide Original Bug Spray and replace the top. Set the dial between medium and high then put on the filter. Plug it in, turn it on and you're ready to go. Don't forget your mask!
Start fogging in the rooms farthest from your planned exit to avoid re-entering spaces you've already fogged. Once each room is fully fogged, turn off the fogger and set it down. Wait at least 3 hours for the fog to settle before returning to your home.
Exercise caution on hard floors, they could be slick. If food prep items like dishes were exposed to the fog, simply wash them with soap and water to ensure all bugs are gone. Fog again in 5-7 days if needed.

"The fogger fogged well, unfortunately tge Cedarcide didnt do anything to solve our mite issue."
Works great
"Works great. I would definitely buy again. Why spend money paying someone to come in, when I can buy the device, use it over and over again, and know that I'm putting something natural in my home. It's easy to use, and works great."
Fog those fleas out of your life
"This is powerful and definitely makes you feel like you’re in control to make a difference. House smelled amazing, like cedar. It’s strong, so you want a few hours to have the house open after the 3 hour window when you come back home. But, so far I’m incredibly impressed. I poured some into a spray bottle and heavy soaked some of the furniture. Washed all bedding and dogs prior to the treatment. So coming back in everything was fresh. I still need to do round 2 next week but it’s so awesome for the pups to not wake up in the night with an itch. Once I seen one of those nasty things. It was full on war. They are not allowed inside my house or on my fur babies. I will not put toxic chemicals on my dogs or in my home. And I’m grateful for an alternative. I also did have my yard treated 2x. There is an issue with fleas in our area this year due to the feral cats and possums. We didn’t have a hard freeze last winter so I’m sure that didn’t help. So we are doing all we can for our prevention. And something that’s safe to put on your body. Amazing Thank you"
Great product
"We are a wastewater facility. One of the new issues we have is the cleaner we make the water.......the better house we have for insects and other critters. Midge flies and spiders were overtaking our facility! The good news is I found you. One dose in the evening for an hour on low. My infestation is gone. We had two bug zappers int eh room, every night there would be a pile of insects on the floor to deal with. Currently they are now unplugged."
Got rid of the fleas!
"Purchased the indoor fogger after doing research, this is the only product I found that was safe for people and pets (and actually appears to work). I used the fogger in our 1,200 sq. foot house 1 time. Found fleas on the dog 2 days later but didn't see any evidence elsewhere in the house. So I used the spray (not fogger) around the house for the next 5 days on our carpet and high traffic areas (especially all of the entry points of the house). Over a week also used it on our dog a few times (didn't seem to bother him). Bottom line, it does work, just be persistent in the application. The smell isn't an issue for me at all but I would definitely leave doors/windows up for good ventilation, especially right after use."
Great ptoduct
"Product has been the most effective miticide yet, against a problem we have had with oak mites!"
FOG the F&%@#$% FLEAS !!
"Having indoor FLEA issues is a nightmare!! You have to look at it like you're going to war. The Fogger is one of the best ways to fight back. Exterminators cost a fortune but you can have hope and a chance to beat them before they beat you! You'll have to fight in other ways at the same time too! Daily vacuuming, laundry, cleaning. Shampooing your pet. It's a good idea to do the fogging twice in 2 weeks as suggested. I highly recommend this. The cedar smells nice too. I am so grateful that Cedarcide is helping people fight these pests. ps. sorry for the "F" word in the title! :)"
"I have tried everything to get rid of something causing my hair to feel like it’s glued to my head. I started getting bald spots and sores on my head and nothing worked. Until I got rid of the biofilm first and started putting this on my scalp. I have been using this product for a week now and have had amazing results. I also fogged my house and vents. Love love love this product! Thanks so much!"
This is a life saver for me who got bed bugs one time before!!!
"Several years ago, my bed was infesticated by mysterious bed bugs from I didn't know where (nobody traveled during that period of time). I was so allergic to bed bugs, and I was bitten every day with big itchy bumps all over my legs. I tried everything for bed bugs on the market except this one. After one month of suffering, luckily, I read somebody posted that her husband worked at a hotel, and the only way they could get rid of the bed bugs was this cedarcide with the fogger. This kit was about $100 cheaper back then, but it's really worth it. Just one treatment inside my bedroom, the bed bugs were all dead! I even didn't have to throw my mattress away (I did buy a bed bug mattress protector for the mattress after the treatment). I didn't need to wash my clothes in my bedroom. Luckily, maybe the bed bugs loved my blood so much(just kidding), they didn't get off my bed. I did pull my bed away from the wall and put 4 plastic containers with baby powder under each leg of the bed. So the bed bugs would have a hard time getting off my bed. Anyway, this kit got rid of the bed bugs completely. My cross-street neighbor during the same time got the bed bugs too. They had pest control come over many times and got rid of so much of their furniture. At least a half year, they seemed to finally get rid of their bed bugs. They must cost a fortune too. Anyway, with this kit, I am not worried about bed bugs anymore."
Q&A
- Who is the manufacturer of this fogging machine?
- Hi! That would be Createch USA Inc. We're also available at 800-842-1464 or via email at questions@cedarcide.com if you need anything else.
- I noticed the outdoor spray has 8x the concentration of cedarwood oil for only 2x the price. Would I be able to just buy the outdoor spray and dilute it to get the yield I want and save some money?
- Hi Parker. Yes, however with some caveats. The concentrate, Outdoor Bug Control (https://cedarcide.com/collections/lawn-garden/products/pco-choice) also contains emulsifiers that allow the solution to mix well with water for outdoor use cases. You can certainly dilute it down to get similar concentrations to our personal/indoor bug sprays (https://cedarcide.com/collections/home-insect-repellents). However, the results it will behave differently then Cedarcide Original and Tickshield. It will be very watery and will not adhere to pet fur, skin or indoor surfaces for quite as long as the sprays, which may reduce the repelling power timeline. That being said, we do have many customers that do this and are ok with their results. I would recommend calling us at 1-800-842-1464 to talk to our customer success team to help you dial in the right dilution and other tips for using there resulting formula for your specific use cases. You may also chat with us online or email us at questions@cedarcide.com as well :)
- Do you sell additional Intake Filters? I'm in need of a new one. Thx
- Hi there! We can give you one for free, you would just need to cover the $5.99 shipping—or we can add it free of charge to any placed order :) We're available directly at 800-842-1464 if you need anything else, Lorie!
- Does it leave any oily residue on walls, furniture & floors?
- Hi, Nina! No, the product you fog with is designed to dry quickly and not stain, nor leave long-lasting residues :) We're also available at 800-842-1464 if you need anything else!
- Does it work on spiders? Earwigs? We definitely have ants to get rid of too.
- Hi. Catherine! While we don't have official testing for spiders or earwigs, our customers have been using our products to control them for going on 25 years. As for ants, our products are third-party tested to kill and repel ants :) We're available at 800-842-1464 if you need anything else or have more questions.
